In Hollywood, everyone chooses their own names. John Wayne, Ernest Borgnine, Charles Bronson, Nicolas Cage...etc...

edit- Wiki says he's from California and his parents are a Vietnam vet and a dancer.

I saw a commercial for "Tropic Thunder". It appears to be capable of sating my lust for old school spoofs.
