Halo 2 Message Board  

Im sure i will get alot of flaming over this post, but i realy, honestly ask, what's the big deal?
The story is nothing special, graphic inferior to many new games (especially newer console games), multiplayer buggy over vista/x-box etc...
So anyone here who concurs that halo series is alot of bells and whistles and nothing more? 🤔

Nope. But I can see that you have never read the four novels that expanded the Haloverse.

And I can see that you are comparing Halo 2...to games on the Xbox 360. Halo 2 came out in 04, just wait until Halo 3 comes out.

And with live play, it depends on your connection strength. 95% of the time, I have a lag-free, bug-free match for Halo 2.

Yeah really, I play online and it's really ok, even if someone cheats. But this opinoin about yours is really started to sound like you hate Halo 1,2, and maybe even 3. I'm not trying to start anything I'm just saying it's a really ''ok'' game, even if you do hate it you have to admire the graphics atleast, especially the new Halo 3.

I think you got off topic there and kind of should get back on topic before ''they'' give us a warning. Ok like I was saying The graphica are supposed to be good on Halo 3 and that's what everyone's talking about.

Well mate i also didnt watch the Stalker film before playing the game, nor did i read stalker comic books or any novels, but i still had a blast.
Actually you gave a perfect example of what im talking about, why would a game rate as a "legend", "fantastic", etc need a series of novels, a tv show, preferably a half a dozen films and a trading card game ( speaking metaphorically ofcourse ) to be elevated from any generic FPS with some "gimmick"?
Why? Because it by itself is simply lacking the means to justify that rating.
Just ask yourself this, would Halo be nearly as successful without "Mr" Bill Gates?
And about my connection, its a DSL 1mb, and it can easily support WoW, F.E.A.R. and Battlefield online, so i realy dont see why would be any trouble here..

It is absolutely self evident that PS console series is far superior to X-box in almost every tehnical way (even the price), and counting the fact that Sony doesnt have Microsoft behind them (and its resources)...
By the way if i cant compare halo 1/2 to equivalent games (same year), by what right can you compare halo3 to those games?
