I am so glad to find your post. (I have Halo 2 Vista 1.0.3.129.) Have been pulling my hair out trying to figure a way for the second trainer to work. I, too, am waiting for a new patch.

yes i tried many different things on this issue. And i have found that it's the update that is stopping it. When i start a new game, it keeps asking me to restart the game, or continue with no achievements, and when i continue with no achievements it crashes the game. playing offline, or reinstalling and not updating is very inconvenient. Please let me/us know if you need testing help, or any help at all possibly making a patch for this update! thank you!

First thing we need to know is how you got to that specific version. Did you install any other patches than Update #1 from the official website? Did you buy the game retail or are you using one of the leaked versions that came out prior to the release? (our trainer was created using the store-bought retail)
Anytime any sort of patch is applied it can shift the memory values so the trainer will not work. Also, if the version is different in any way it will cause the same issues. It's almost impossible to train for every single variant, especially on Vista with games like Halo2 where Microsoft has added anti-cheat protection to the game. No one else has even attempted a Vista-exclusive trainer other than us.
We will continue to do what we can once we have more details.
I downloaded the trainer from your website when I became an unlimited member on June 07, 2007.
I have the retail version of Halo 2 Vista I bought from Gamestop. I downloaded update #1 to H2V and installed it manually.
Current version of Halo 2 Vista I am using is 1.0.3.129.
Is there any other information which would help you that you need to know?
I do not play the multiplayer part of Halo 2 Vista.
Edit: Information from the properties menu on my current Halo 2 exe file (Halo2.exe, dtd 5-11-2007, 14,350 KB) is as follows:
file ver = 1.0.0.11091
product version = 1.00.00.11091

Thanks for the info eaglefox. We're going to work on this issue some more and see if we can find what may be causing any problems. We may ask you or someone else to help us with some troubleshooting.
I will do what I can. Just let me know. I do not have too much installed on my Vista Business yet. Most of my software is on my Windows XP. I just switch out hard drives when I go from Windows XP Pro SP2 to Vista Business.

i bought my halo 2 vista from EBGAMES, it's legit. i installed ONLY the updates that the game threw at me, when i signed in my gamer profile. i didn't go to any websites or anything of that nature, just doing my normal thing, to play the game. i hope it's something simple (i think is simple for you) to fix on changing the memory values or whatever you geniuses call it :P
if there is anything i can do, please let me know how to do it, and your wish is my command, i'm sure this dosent help any, but i'm running a legit windows vista ultimate also. work your magic! thanks
