I'm having similar problems with the 1.2 trainer, not crashes but when I try to occupy a city the game just freezes, not freeze per say but I get the hourglass thing just spinning forever, I reinstalled the game updated it to 1.1 instead of 1.2, and used the 1.1 trainer and it works perfectly, so I updated to 1.2 and again same problems with the 1.2 trainer. So I tried reinstalling and patching to 1.2 directly, again same problems with the 1.2 trainer, I am not using any mods using xp pro sp2, tried using a nocd crack to see if it had any effect but it was the same, its either a faulty patch or a faulty trainer.

Could someone provide me with a savegame or the exact recreate steps so that we can try and duplicate the problem on our systems? Thanks.

I think I know the problem. I may have to delete the data file for med 2 and then reininstall the game . The files dlete when the game is removed so the mod may have changed their data. Will try and fix when I get home. Will post results.
