    Just. What if you need to start a new game after that? Like countless hours of gameplay woud be lost.

    Yes i would have to agree with Danju, you can't just un install the game and lose all of the data and all of the hours of game played, it's easier said then done, i think the best option is to download a patch and if that idear fails just avoid the quest completley no matter how important or make the diecision to lose all of that data.

    or just find the savegame folder and store it somewhere else so it doesnt get wiped with the rest of the files during the game uninstall.

    yes i have.
    i know that the savegames will only run on the same version of the game as the version of the game on witch they were made.
    if you reinstall the game but it is the save version as before
    the saves will work.
    if not they won't
    That works for me.

    That's right.
    I see the confusion here. i got the game v1.2 and never have applied a patch to it. thats why my saves work. however if you do apply a patch the saves won't run anymore.

    That isn't always true, but I was thinking about when you have game version 1.2 and then reinstal the game and you have 1.0 the saves won't work.
