you can't find the file as it does not show up all u need to do is go to window start and go to run cmd which give u command window up and all u do is type this, ufoext is the folder game exe is i change the name of the folder game is in to make it shorter to type

C:\Documents and Setting\your name>C:

C:\>cd\games\ufoext

C:\games\ufoext>ufo_et.exe SaveEditor.xscr upack slot0

this will start the game and that were you alt tab out and stop game and go to your save folder and open globeSave.xsv in a text editor
Change the value after 'actualFinance' to 2,000,000,000 to get that much and save it now all u got to do is go back to the command window best to leve it running so u can get back to it easyer now just type in this

C:\games\ufoext>ufo_et.exe saveeditor.xscr pack slot0

this will start game again just alt tab back out so u can close the command windows

I've been using this cheat quite activly.

however today I updated the game with the latest patch since there was some CTD related issues with v1.0

so now I have the latest but now the cheatcodes won't work. Anyone experienced this?

OH and I have the multilanguage version Eng/Rus

every time i try to unpack the savegame its saying theres a error with my serial number and i use windows vista

plz make an editor or trainer for the game

i've tried the same procedure with the "ufo_et.exe saveeditor.xscr unpack slot{n}"
but always occured an error message with:
" initalizing cfilesystemenfile::file not found. saveeditor.xscr" in result the game crashes.

any ideas?

Ok a few things for windows xp users.
You will get an error every time you try this cheats because the cmd (dos) prompt will not find the following
C:\Tri Synergy\UFO Extraterrestrials>ufo_et.exe SaveEditor.xscr unpack slot0

Because you will get this error as follows right after ( notepad crash080006_051508)

[00:00:00.238] Initializing input
[00:00:00.250] Initializing scripts
[00:00:00.250] CFileSystem::OpenFile::File not found. saveeditor.xscr
[00:00:00.250] Int values:0


So to those who have claimed to get this cheat working ( after patch) I have no clue how you did this, because that command line makes windows look for the file type that dosent exist

I also tried projectx.exe windows app manager created the usual crash***** notepad

Now i did some poking around and you have to unpack the game.sav files, I was able to edit everything within reason.
C:\Tri Synergy\UFO Extraterrestrials\data\saves\slot0

I will mention the Trainer that is out atm for this game also fails to unpack the saved file, not sure if they stopped this in the patch, but unless you "really" mess around I can't find or see how it can be unpacked.

I used xbig tool 05-18 to unpack & repack - it worked for me
