S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Message Board  

Ok I got up to yantar and done like the first scientist mission there then like they told me to go underground and i was like " hell no im not going underground again after my experience with that other lab"
so i take the psi helmet thing go back to Duty camp get a bit bored so I kill some of them off, then i hed north to Freedom do a couple of missions then i head further north again and somehow manage to make it past a psi field then i head even further north into pripyat then help some stalkers out and then i go into a tunnel and arrive in some major warzone in Chernobyl NPP so i hang around there and i got some cool artifacts then the screen starts going weird at first i thought it was my gfx card but its something to do with the reactor and theres a countdown timer with 2mins left, im getting totally owned by the radiation as i only have like a wind of freedom suit on,

I assume I should have been dead a long time back or is this just luck?

Oh yea and i made the mistake of going underground in pripyay to get a flameball being thrown at me i assume that was a poltergeist?

can someone tell me what im supposed to be doing , im being pinned down by army and monolith troops i made it past the gate entrance but im hiding in a train car.
