Just get an XBOX 360 controller. It works just like it does on the console. The RUMBLE Feature works, all the buttons have an onscreen image that pops up during those "playable" cinematics (A,B,X,Y,L,R, etc...), both anolog sticks work, you can play the game entirely with the pad, from the moment the game starts (You can pause the game with the Start button, and navigate all the menus). I found my controller for about $20 at Target, its a Pelican brand 360 controller -the quality is the same as Microsofts Over-Priced PC controller and you can download the drivers for free from Microsoft.com (The Standard XBOX 360 Controller Driver is all you need).
The story still sucks ... But the game is more playable with a controller.
the story doesn't suck. if u say that it suck than u aren't a true spidey fan.

Puh!
WTF kind of a story was there in Spiderman 3 then?!
I guess I must have blinked during one of the three 5 second intros!
Seriously! The Story Sucked!
Where's the backstory for Dr. Conners?!
How does the Symbiot find Spiderman?!
How did the Sandman become the Sandman?!
Where's the backtory for the "New" Goblin?!
All the game gives you is a retarded 20 second introduction scene at the beginning of the game as an intro for most of these characters...
The game feels half finished, with missing peices everywhere. Like it was thrown together at the last minute so it could share the release date of the movie. The storylines never come together (well, in a way that makes sense anyway).
The whole "mind control generator" thing is overdone, and how, tell me, how does a generator give the Giant Mutated Lizard an energy shield?! How? ok, now in a way that makes sense...
The only thing they got right was the Animation for Spiderman. The graphics were good, not great, good. Definatly better than any of the previous Spiderman games, but not up to the industry standard.
The fighting in the game is an abomination (specifically the fights with the "gang" leaders and bosses -Was the game even play tested before they released it?!)
-And about those "10 Unique Storylines"...
Did you actually like the photo "missions" you did for Robbie?! ...That was a "storyline".
What about those "really cool"(*cough* Retarded)gang fights? ...Those counted as three more "storylines".
Next time they make a Spiderman game they need to make sure the story makes sense even if you don't read the comics (which I do) and/or watch the movie (Which I haven't -emo Spiderman's a *** -Wow, edited for calling someone another word for gay ...*** *** *** *** *** *** Ha Ha *** *** ***), but the only way to understand whats going on in Spiderman 3 is if you've done both.
-So maybe that's why the story sucked for me. I'll wait for the DVD to come out and rent it so I can watch it on my widescreen at home, fast forwarding through the emo crap and watch the remaining 20 minutes of action scenes.
I'm waiting for Ultimate Spiderman 2. I hope they're making one anyway, as that game got the story part right.
