S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Message Board  

I am at the part where you go to the x18 labs to get the secret files or whatever, but after I do, the door I came through is closed and all on fire (it's really weird...) and it just says 'someone is holding the door shut.' there's no other way out! can someone please tell me what to do?

ok never mind, I figured it out. all I had to do was shoot the fire thing shooting around the room. but now I have another problem. I started the mission where you have to find the guy's lost family rifle, but when I get to where the pda map tells me to go, I just find some empty box.

any suggestions?

Actually the lost family rifle is actually the "Saw off shotgun 2 shot" You can find it inside a cargo container on the opposite where you see a dead man "Gordon Freeman" Then the rifle "Shotgun" Will be there... GOOD luck!!!

ok, thanks. one more thing...I'm using Windows Vista. on that operating system, where are the save files located?

I'm not sure about the save files in Window Vista. But I know for sure in Window XP my save file are located in drive C:/Document and Setting/Shared File/Stalker/ that's in window xp not sure where in window vista...
