1.4 trainer causes crashes ? on Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars PC Message Board - Page 1

As many of you know i have been crying all through these forums because my tiberium wars seems to be glitched and crashy well today as i was looking at the EA help one thing that came to mind was this : "when crashes with sound looping occurs do..."
That is exactly how my game crashed ! so i looked closer : "One reason this could happen is programs running in the background" i then instantly thought of the trainer and looked more : "When a crash like this occurs most often it is because something else is using game data that the game needs". That was it i knew it was the 1.4 trainer i had. But knowing people needed truth i recorded how long a game lasted using the trainer against an easy turtle. My results:

w/ trainer : took about 10-15 mins in one test even 20 before crashing back to desk-top with the sound looping

w/out trainer : never crashed i did learn i sucked bad at tiberium wars though since i got OWNED by an easy turtle about an hour in.

Comments please, and where might i find a trainer that WONT crash my game.

your inbox is full so i cannot respond to your message you sent me. i don't recall alot of people having probs with the mega 1.4 or my own 1.4 trainers. asking for other trainers in a commercial trainer site probably is a bad idea... when your box is empty i will try to respond to you-

You'll need to provide more info on what O/S you use, and System specs if you want some help. That info is crucial. My system works fine with the trainer V1.04, and also is your C&C TW3 patched to v 1.4? I know, dumb question, but I had to ask...lol

Well, in regards to OP, my Laptop is the only computer i own that has ANY problems with C&C3, it has a "cnc3game.dat" crash issue, but neither my Desktop or Laptop have a crash issue with the 1.04 Mega Trainer, the "cnc3game.dat" error is a widely known issue..it happens more likely on PC's that arent well suited for running the game, if your PC cant run the game the best, you will probably get crash errors of some kind, my laptop isnt the best at running it, my desktop runs it like a dream, on my laptop, Fastest Game Speed setting on the Skirmish options will make it seem like the regular speed for an RTS game in general...not too slow, but not too fast..the same setting on my desktop makes the game run insanely fast...i mean the units and so on BUILD faster than their set-time, like a Scrin Tripod builds in less than 30 seconds WITHOUT the Trainer for 1.04, so YES, your PC Specs can have a big effect on the game

what video card/ram are you using. i read on the EA boards that certain vid cards arent really able to play the game...(ive had no problems using the trainers when booting up/the game does take long to boot up imho w/o trainer as well).
try [ALT+TAB]'ing out of game after loading the game to see if you still have problems

no... it's NOT meant to work online in games(don't get yourself banned from the maker and waste your money) ;)

I allso get crashes when i use it, just updated my C&C3 version, and when i activate the cheats, the game crashes...
