an enchanted daedra shield would be better then a normal 1 but i hate daedra there a peice of

I depends if your light or heavy armoured if light the best is an enchanted Glass shield if heavy an enchanted Deadric shield. If your an apprentice in the mages guild a good way to significantly increase a shields defence is to enchant it with shield (i know it sounds obvious but it really works) a common soul gem gets u a sheild of 8% (i enchanted my mages Arch Mage Robe and Chainmail Gauntlets both with 8% and my ratin went up from 17 to 37

i say a self enchanted deadric with expert armorer(extra 25% condition) and enchantment fortify heavy armor, for higher rating

That will also work well

I say the same, just for light armor
