This might have already been posted but...

I've discovered that the lists posted are helpful, but far from inclusive. I've started playing more with the trait and ancillary cheats, and there are tons.

Just look for any ancillary on a character, and try to give to another character using the

    give_ancillary this beguiling_bard

for example (this would be for a spy).

I've even made some up, just thinking they might work, and they do! For priests, deacon and nun both work.

For traits, just look at pre-existing traits and play around with giving them to others. For merchants, I found "Monopolist 3"...great for take overs after using "GoodMerchant 4"

For spies, use handgun, courtesan, explosives, for diplomats, exotic_gifts, translator,

There are so many. Anyway, hope this helps.

    Oh, I almost forgot.

There are often problems with using the "this" command instead of digging up names, but I've found what I think is the best way.

Don't go to the character on the map itself. That'll work sometimes, but not always. The best way is through a right click of agents on the cp on bottom.

You can upgrade all your priests, spies, assassins, princesses, diplomats, and merchants

Then go to the military tab, and you can upgrade your generals and admirals. The ancillaries and traits work better this way. You can right click on the characters picture on the CP if you want to see the changes as it's taking place (recommended since after the first addition, the list on the left will scroll back to the top).

Hope this helps at least one player.
