Battlefield 2142 Message Board  

Well I just bought 2142 Battlefield or Battlefield 2142, whichever you prefer. A little late I know, but it just now showed up at the local WalMart Store. Things are a little late arriving in my burg sometimes. Anyhow I hope this will be one game I'll like, considering I've probably spent more than $200,00 on games in the past two months and none of these have pleased me very much. Everything from the big name titles to the lesser lights have found a home in my house and, none of these lived up to my expectations or, there was no cheat codes, no trainers and no way of modifying the game to my liking. Of course some of these were just plain bummers that I fell for and didn't even contain an editor much less anything else but, most were top of the line games. I just downloaded a trainer for this one in lieu of finding any cheat codes and, I don't know yet if it can or cannot be modded. It seems similiar to Tiberian Sun and some of the other games I own which can be modded and/or contain an editor so, hopefully, this one will turn out differently from the others and I can settle down and enjoy a nice quite game on the old PC again. EA normally produces some good games, (wish I could say the same for their online registration,) so I don't think I'll end up too badly dissapointed with this one. If anyone out there knows where to go find the mods the maps etc., let me know I'll be looking forward to getting into this one.
