I made my thoughts known about Call of Duty 4 on another board, to keep it brief I believe this is a huge mistake by the franchise...because let's face it modern combat sucks, example- you push a button you got a war...it's all politics now. The way a war was meant to be fought happened in WW2...that's why all those Vietnam games failed in 04

I understand that their burned out on WW2, maybe they should consider taking a few years off from it and focus on another franchise because WW2 will always be popular as a shooter around the world, it defined the 20th century and in a lot of ways shaped our world the way it is today...

Bottom line- Taking a break is fine but don't state that your abandoning WW2...in the end it's a bold move but (in my opinion) it won't work

lol, im sorry that i found that humorous but there are a few points i'll point out. war has always been politics, maybe not as deep as it is today but its always politics. even wwii was based on politics to an extent.

and secondly. if your making millions are you just going to take a few year brake and stop your 7digit income?..no your going to keep doing it making even more millions.

If there is a demo over XBL....I'll download it. But that's all.

Speaking of which...I still gotta delete my Halo 3 beta download.

lol I'm sorry I found that humours...If you want to take the narrow view be my guest, but in the end it'll fail...

And what I meant by war back then and compared to now is combat, man to man...tank to tank...ship to ship...aircraft to aircraft WW2 was the ideal war which is why so many admire and remember it, nowadays it's all about the fancy toys and which countries missiles are deadlier...

And I was in the military, I should know...

you make a strong point there, the cold war for instance, it was ALL about who's missles were bigger. and yeah WWii was a good war to reenact for those reasons but modern warfare still interests and captivates people, maybe not all but a lot. so we'll have to wait and see how it turns out. and yes i think they probably could've gotten a few more wwii games in before ending that style but oh well.
