Right-click it. Then pick properties. Then clear the box next to read-only and it should no longer be a read only file. An alternative is to first delete the one that you want to overwrite, then put in the other one.

Its a Read-only file in "My-Computer". You cant just change it. you also cant delete files in that section.
Can ANYONE explain to me how to view the (GameData) xml files and edit them.

eh? I just now told you how to make it NON read-only, I don;t understand what you mean. You can almost ALWAYS change that kind of thing unless it's a CD-Rom, DVD-Rom, or a copy protected floppy. Do you mean Read-Only Section? And you need to use a .meg extractor to extract the .xml files, then view them with almost any text-editor. By the way, how did you put those files there, if that's a read-only section.

I downloaded game and it went into "my computer" files on my harddrive. I can only copy files. How do you use the .meg extractor on them. Im told to type CONFIG but it keeps saying file not found.

Then try "config" without or with quotes, not capitalized. And what do you mean by "my computer files"? Last time I checked, "My Computer meant the whole computer and not a piece of the hard drive. You might want to reinstall the game in a write-able section of your Hard Drive though...
