Help! I am new to the PS2 (mother of 3 but they ain't helpin!) and just bought Scarface The World is Yours yesterday but cannot for the life of me figure out how to save it!

I have the game on pc and i was wondering how to save the game?

I already told you on the other board ,you first select a profile to save on EX :Profile 1 .then it will save anytime that you quit or you finish a mission ,ETC !

I have been trying to figure out how to save my game progress in Scarface (PC). The manual only refers to an Autosave feature that can be toggled, but in my Options column in the Pause menu, there is no Autosave option.
Also, in the Pause menu, I can see the grayed-out Profiles, i.e. Profile 1, Profile 2, etc. and a message comes up that I have no saved games to load.
It seems like a catch-22 situation, because it isn't allowing me to set up a profile to save to, and then it won't save my progress because I don't have a profile.
I have tried just about everything I can think of.
Can you help me with this?
