Star Wars: Empire at War - Forces of Corruption Message Board  

I installed the mod, but I can't figure out how to apply it to the game. can anyone help me?

Installation:

Depending on the faction you want to play, copy that XML-folder in your SWEA-FOC\Data-directory
Removing that folder will return the game to normal conditions


Note: All Modifications are for faction only! If you want to play f.e. as the Empire in Skirmish mode against another Empire you will wonder what the AI can do with that modifications! ;o)




did you ead this in the readme file?

just copy the xml folder of the faction you want modded to the specified foler and it should be active when you boot the game

i never tried this mod but with others i jsut had to copy in the files and it worked.. no need for command lines, so maybe you jsut installed it incorrectly

I redad the readme file, but i don't understand it. And what do you mean by "specified folder? And how do i find "SWEA-FOC/Data-directory? also, how do you get to there file databases? 🤔 Also, it doesn't let me copy them to the empire at war folder, because you can't copy them onto a cd-rom. I don't spend much time on the computor, as you can see.

first you got to your main FoC install directory.. then there will be a sub folder called Data

thats where you msut copy the mods...


lets say you want to use the imperial mod (note only one mod can be active at a time)

you go to the place you unpacked the mod files and there will be a fodler called Modded for Empire

open this one and youll see the xml folder

copy this xml folder into your Data folder and play the game...

to play other sides jsut replace the xml folder in your data folder with an xml folder of another faction...

Now i'm really comfused. The foc install directory is found when you right click on start, go to explore, and click on the main foc file, right? I see the data folder, but when i try to copy the files into it, it doesn't let me.

umm.. the install directory is where the game files are installed (you selected this during the installation)

usually located at C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\

in this folder youll find the main exe file yes and also the Data folder...

oh, i see what i was doing! I was looking in the CD file instead of the install directory! I got it to work. Thanks!
