I was going thru and doing all the Espers after I finished the game and cannot beat Zodiark. I can get him down to an inch of his life line and he puts on this shield and weapons don't work. He starts using darkja over and over again all I can do is keep everyone alive and that doesn't last long. Has anyone beat him? How did you do it? My levels are all in the 90's and nice weapons. Help!!!!

When he goes invicible there's nothing u can do except wait for the wall to go down. As for his darkja atacks I found buying either dark masks or demon shields, I can't remember where to buy dark masks but the demon shields u can buy from a hidden merchant in the Nerchrol of Nabudis he's in the northern part of the hall of enflugent light or something like that

Don't. Zodiark, like all espers in this game are a complete waste of mp and do far less damage than you can do barefisted. Plus this one only uses his super move when you are petrified? I bet it does a whopping 9999 damage too! I don't think I've ever used an esper in the whole game except to see if they look cool. I mean...where the hell is my BAHAMUT damnit?

Anyways, 'nuff ranting...I feel better now I was able to stay alive long enough by having only 1 character out to Arise everyone. Remember, that you can raise your characters WITHOUT having them out in the party...just select the spell, hit R1 twice, and you can raise anyone. A great trick! So all I did was keep only 1 dude out until the magick barrier fell. Brought out the rest of the party (recommend waiting till after he casts Darkja) and nuked him with Drain a ton of times until he died. Pretty simple, just took a long time. I found that his physical damage barrier was just never down long enough to get more than a hit in. Probably would have worked better if I had Holy, but I haven't stumbled upon it yet.

Honestly, though, this fight is not worth the time cuz all the Espers suck. The only good thing that came out of it was that I got a Ribbon on the way there and was able to steal a Serpentarius from him. Then again...some of us just have to get em all eh?

A question if you will I have armoers that causes the enimeis in his zone to only take 300 400 damg and really strong holy weapons excaliber zodic spear and all but I can't find the path to get to him can someone tell me this place is really diffcult.

R u talking about the path to Zodiark. First u have to go to the Henne Mines...Oh wait before that u need to have at least ten espers then u have to talk to the elder in Jahara( don't remember which one)then he'll open the path in the Henne Mines. In the Henne Mines go to ore separartion area then there's a secret path to the right.

if you can't beat it at level 90.... i can beat them with 60....

tactics :
Gambits to curaja / renew
and then use gambits to any ally remedy
and then use dark mask
and then use holy power element weapon / zodiac spear
(though i beat him with 2 stonebringer and 1 zodiac spear)
and then the other gambits , just turn them to what you need else



when his hp fall low , (crit) he cast a shield that can't make you hit him , but you can still magic him , if i remember correctly that is , if he already on that stage , use mirror mail to all character

Then cast aeo non element magic to your party , since it is reflected , 3 x the damage ! if you have all 3 people cast the same spell , 9x the damage !! :3
