Ok so if youre saying that the 3689 code doesnt work for the side door, its because you didnt get past a certain part.
After you reach the bomb part, & start answering calls at Matties house, there would be a sheet of paper by the phone folded up. On there it says theyre gonna change the code because they dont want any break-ins. Then it'll say the code 3689.

I haven't got to the bomb part.. i can't even get into ricks room anymore.. I just got in that one time when he told me to stay and make myself comfortable but now he wont answer the door. do you know what i need to do next??! it would really help me out alot!
