All this anticipation and the game is total console low level high texture DX 8.0 graphics game. No configuration of ships, AI of your ships blows major arse! You have to actually play 4 ships at the same time since neither one of them thinks by themselves. The graphics are nothing like the movies. Freelancer with StarTrek mod is 1000 times better than this game, actually bridge commander is 100 times better than this game.
Finally William Shatner must of been sick while doing the voiceovers since it does not sound like him.

Also this game is extremely linear (it's on rails), to the point where you really don't have to scan the planet or beam down since there will be nothing there until you trigger a specific event, so there is no free space exploration just rail guided play.

I agree, after having played it for quite a while I have given up. This is, without question, one of the worst Star Trek games I have ever played. It is a console shooter that was thrown onto the PC without virtually no changes. I have uninstalled it from my computer and I advise everyone, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!

Bethesda software has earned my eternal hatred for putting out such a piece of crap. Paramount needs to realize that they are only hurting the Star Trek franchise further by allowing this garbage to utilize the Star Trek license.

From what I have read on the official legacy forums even the hard core ST fans do not like it much. Looks like I will not be buying, so sad.

Well you guys might not like it but it might be the best one out I think. Its well worth trying it out for yourself. Some missions however will tick you the ƒÜ©]< off big time due to the difficulty involved...

You guys need to realize that you absolutely MUST play it with a XBox 360 controller. The game was designed for that controller, and it won't work with any other gamepad and the keyboard sucks. Get a XBox 360 controller (and download the XP driver from Microsoft) and it is a whole different game.

Well, I might consider giving it another chance and purchasing an Xbox 360 controller were it not for the horrible reviews this game is now getting on the various gaming websites. At this point, the PC version of the game didn't even break a 60% rating on gamerankings.com. An F, in my book. Furthermore, even the Xbox 360 version ranks somewhere in the 70th percentile, which makes this game mediocre and that's with the Xbox 360 controller. Certainly there are some bright spots in this game, but overall I think it's a serious disappointment, particularly given the amount of hype this game has gotten. Bottom line, I really think this game is not worth the money.
