oh ok, theres some examples elsewere in the forum but here's one quoted from another topic:

    create_unit London "Armored Swordsmen" 1 0 0 0

London as in which city you want to spawn the unit in (in this case London) and of course the name of the unit u want to spawn. the numbers are explained above.

and thanks monoxism for the list, if thats not all keep it coming ;D

    Thanks for the unit list
Btw I want to ask why when I want to create units that don't belong to my faction, the unit will be created with the card displayed picture of peasant ???
And in battlefield, the unit will be displayed with the silver color ???

Ex : I want to create a longbowmen for German, heck this unit will be displayed as peasant in card and will be displayed as silver longbowmen not Yellow - Black Longbowmen with German uniform ???
    Is this a bug ??
    Deutschland Reich !!!

Yeah, why would I want to have a unit that doesn't suit the nation that I'm using, because all it does is come up with a peasant on the tab, and a group of shadows but no people on the battle map. Any suggestions how to actually see the "created" troops on the battlefield? Because I could do it on RTW.

yes, unless you can create a whole new texture, or unit that problem can probably not be changed.
As the developers only made these units textures for the fitting nation.

maybe there could be a mod for making all units work for all different factions or such but otherwise i have no idea how to make it work. the developers simply made the game that way, ur not supposed to have those units simply. but if we retexture them and make them available to the correspondent nations it would work if anybody would like to do that, that is...

To get unit names, create a custom battle and save the army you build. Then go into the game folder and find a folder called "armies". Go in there and open the saved army file with notepad. (e.g. english.cax). Here is a list for the English.

    Peasants
    Town Militia
    Levy Spearmen
    Spear Militia
    Armored Sergeants
    Bill Militia
    Billmen
    Heavy Billmen
    Heavy Bill Militia
    Dismounted English Knights
    Dismounted Feudal Knights
    Armored Swordsmen
    Peasant Archers
    Archer Militia
    Arquebusiers
    Sherwood Archers
    Longbowmen
    Yeoman Archers
    Dismounted Longbowmen
    Hobilars
    Merchant Cavalry Militia
    Mailed Knights
    Demi Lancers
    Feudal Knights
    NE Bodyguard
    English Knights
    NE Late Bodyguard
    Knights Hospitaller
    Knights Templar
    NE Ballista
    NE Catapult
    NE Ribault
    NE Trebuchet
    NE Bombard
    NE Culverin
    NE Mortar
    Welsh Spearmen Mercs
    Irish Kerns Mercs

    Example command:- create_unit London "NE Culverin" 2 9 3 3

    Hope this helps
