hi guys just recently purchased the add on resurrection of evil i have tried adding +set com_allowconsole 1 to the command line but it doesnt work niether does the ctrl+alt+tilde .......it worked on doom 3 but not the add pack any suggestions????????? rozzer

maybe instead of putting +set com_allowconsole 1 in the command line parameter maybe you should type in +seta com_allowConsole 1 then maybe it will work for you

It worked for me!!!!!!!! 😵

Isn't it simply "com_allowconsole 1" without any set or seta or +set? That's what I use to do that...

EDIT: Oh, nevermind, I thought you meant in game.

i don't have it. i just have the Original Doom 3.
is they humans in The expansion? . Npc's like in doom 3?

You are not the same doom guy but an engineer or somethin like that...having in mind the action takes place on the same base i'd say its deserted (or devoid of life) so probably not ...Long story short : I dun think there are any humans in resurection on evil

the seta command is valid to the cfg of doom. That it enables to you dont type it anytime that you are going play.
In the cfg just find the seta commands group, then type in: "seta com_allowconsole 1"

Ok, now you must to try it, just press ~ or ' in game so you will got the console in the screen. Is very important look to the actual keyboard configuration. It must be setted to EN-US

rozzer, there is a way if you are having trouble loading the "+set com_allowconsole 1". even i can't load it! so you just launch the doom 3 resurrection of evil game. then while playing the game or while in anywhere in doom 3 RoE(resurrection of evil), press ctrl+alt+tilde(~) and the console SHOULD be popping out from the top of the screen. And by the way, DO NOT LAUNCH THE COMMAND LINE +set com_allowconsole!!! if you still have a problem, please don't hesitate to ask me again cause' i don't know if it will work.
