Thanks for the console fix. Worked like a charm and it also made the white flashes gone as well.

Need some help none of the console commands work for me not matter how i type them in.

Hi Im new here. Just wanted to thanks to you guys for the info and the help on the console fix with the trainer and no fix as you all said many bugs. I did as directed and no trainer was in volved but the give body_paladin (armor) window said it spawned but nothing appeared in inventory.

Any hints what i did wrong other than precise typing of the give item code.

Any reference would be apprechiated.

Reinstalled the game and tried it again and work great no errors, will continue to play until the next error and if so i will consult the experts.

As far as typing things in correctly the problem comes from the German Keyboard used in the console set:
The underscore for Our English Keyboard sets it located 2 keys to the left of the [BackSpace] key, ya know (Shift -) gives you an underscore. Welll.. Since the console uses the German Keyboard set the underscore key is located to the left of the RIGHT shift key. Its the ?/ key. So its SHIFT+/ for an underscore. So to properly type in a give command it would be (example):

give It[SHIFT + /]Bow[SHIFT + /]Rune

which would result in the proper reading of the console command:

give It_Bow_Rune

Ok, I have been trying and trying to bring up this console for Gothic III but to no avail. Then you mention this above and I begin to wonder...maybe the tilde key is in a different spot. Sure enough I look up the German Keyboard and it is totally different. So my question is this. How exactly do I bring up the console using the tilde key on the English Keyboard? I am guessing it is the Alt (Alt Gr) + ] sign? I am unable to try this right now so if someone could please help me out on this I would greatly appreciate it...Thank You!

Ahhhhhh...ok I am going to start from square one. I went to your GothicIII_cheatfaq_1.1 and read to create the Gothic III\Data\_compiledImage\_Intern folders and was successful. I can now see the activation of Marvin Mode when I type in Marvin while playing and can use the F key cheats like F8 for full health. However, I am still unable to bring up the console . I have tried and tried. I have even tried to press the buttons that were in the same spot as the German Keyboard buttons for the tilde to bring up the console.Reason being is because of what you said above:

I figured that maybe I had to press the button below the backspace which is where the tilde is on the German Keyboard and every other button near it but I still can't get the console to come up



I just don't get it. I had no problems using the Marvin Mode on Gothic I and II...the console came up just fine. I just can't seem to get the console to pop up on Gothic III. PLEASE somebody help me before I lose my sanity

This fixed the graphical corruption and the keybord commands work. However, I still can not get the console to show.
I have edited the the ge3.ini file and the "~" key still does nothing.

Any additional help that you can provide would be wonderful.
