Well, it depends what race you wanna be tbh...
Dwarves are best as Warriors and Paladins
Humans are best as Paladins, Priests and Mages
Night Elves are best as Rogues, Druids and Hunters
Gnomes are best as Warlocks and Rogues
Orcs are best as Warriors and Hunters (Not so much Hunters)
Undead are best as Priests, Mages and Warlocks
Trolls are best as Mages and Shamans
Taurens are best as Warriors, Hunters and Druids.
- That's my opinion.
I also recommend making a Horde character first... they all look ugly but they're the best xD
Get a lvl 60 Horde character, then have a go at Alliance...
Btw, if you're gonna be a Gnome, pick Engineering as one of your Professions! You get a boost with lvling it up if you're a Gnome. If you pick Engineering, get Mining as well. That goes for all the other professions, too. Everything goes with something, like Engineering and Mining, Skinning and Leatherworking, Alchemy and Herbalism, ect.
at level 60 race has very little to do with your class. for example at level 1, a dwarf warrior has twice the health of a gnome warrior, but at level 60 they'll have very little, if any difference. gear is what makes the class, not race. however racials can help, the nelf +dodge racial makes for an awsome prot warrior. and the orc +pet damage makes them excelent locks and BM hunters, and if your rolling priest its even more important. dwarfs for example get fear ward, which is more or less nessisary for raiding on alliance since we dont have tremor totems.
(forgot to answer the question)
Personally, I love the warrior class. its easy to learn, but takes some time to master. As the main tank and warrior officer of a 100 man molten core guild I love my class. 5/8 might and nearly 6k health unbuffed. not to mention I have a good team of people working with me to get my thunderfurry made (legendary quality sword, think awesomeness forged into something solid and deadly) And I'm the backbone of the guild. its a huge responsibility, but if your good enough at your job your more or less going to get your gear faster than the average person.
