Ok I didn't find the Corsix 141 beta but, I did down load the 142 version which works quite well. I have modified Dark Crusade three times now and still cannot get it to work exactly the way I would like for it to. I normally like to have at least 10 techpriests, Commisars, etc., and I can get these with no trouble as well as the heavy equippment. I changed the number to 15 on bassalisk and 10 on Baneblades and these work fine. Where I am having trouble is with the regular guard troops, the Ogryn and Kaserkin squads. I once had the game where it would produce 31 Ogryns to a squad and the top numbers for power and requsition were set at 200, but I could only get the regular number of Kaserkin and regular guards. I did a modification and came out with a top limit of 6 tanks etc, and 12 guardsmen, I tried again and this time the program went back into windows. I have tried twice since then and, gotten bad results. I used the requirements field, alone once but that didn't get good results I ended up with a limit of 12 power and 20 requisition. And some of the things don't have a max cap in the requirements field, only numbers. I've tried about everything I can think of except pull my hair out, which I am almost ready to do. Can anyone help me with this?

Hey, I'm sure I can help you, but im not sure of what the real problem is. Just tell me what you cant do, not what you can please.
As for squads not having a required squad cap, that means that they arent restricted. For the ones with numbers that indicates how many you can produce.
Your problems are definatly under the sbps tree. Its just to much for me to list by guessing.

Thanks WatZ I've seen your explinations and I'm certain you can help me. The answer is a little complicated. I wanted to have the ability to unlock population caps for men and machines. I now find that even though the Power and Requisition reads 400 I can only get like 30 Ogyrin or Kaserkin, I also would like to know how to modify the number of troops etc., when upgrading. You can only get 3 Ogyrins (hope I spell this correctly,) and they upgrade only 3 more to 6. I've never counted the numbers the others have for upgrading their number. But I would like to have say 10 Ogyrin to start and up these to 30. The same holds true for the other units. I also would like to set a squad cap for my troops, all of these, at around 400 or so. Setting the number for Baneblades and some of the others such as Techpriests, etc., havenot been a problem. I hope this has explained some of my problem. If not let me know and I'll see if I can't make it more understanding.

Hi again WatZ, I forgot to mention that in the caps there is a regular and an advanced cap. You set the cap limit for regular then just below that is another line which says something like Ogryns advanced whatever. Do you have to modify both of these or can you stop with the first one and leave off the advanced segment? By the way you are really good at this sort of thing and I just want to complement you and, tell you how lucky we are to have you around.

Hey GGauis, and thanks.
Alright,1st, how to up the global limits of squad and support lays under attrib>racebps>RACE>Race_squad_table
Base is the limit you start out with at the beginning by default, and Max is how high it can get. Great thing is this is all you have to modify to up the limit.
2nd, how to up the squads with more troops or default amount of troops
attrib>sbps>races>RACE>SQUAD>squad_loadout_ext> Here you can set the minimum(default amount produced in a squad) and max(amount that you can add onto a squad).
Now if you want your limit at 400, just use the above method for setting the global pop limit for squad and support. Alternativly, you can setup individual limits on troops thru attrib>sbps>races>RACE>SQUAD>squad_requirement_ext>

Now for the regular and advanced caps, im not sure what you mean. I cant recall ever seeing two fields residing by one another. Mind telling me where you seen this?
My guess is that you see two types of units, one saying guard_leaders_captain.rgd and guard_leaders_captain_advance_sp.rgd
Differance of these two is advance signifies that its for your honor guard in single player, and that sp at the end means single player(campaign).

Thanks again WatZ. I tell you, there are times when I think a 59 year old over the hill grandpa such as myself, shouldn't even be messing with games. The old memory isn't what it used to be and, the know how is almost as bad. You hit the nail on the head about the duplicate fields. It was what you said about advanced etc., when I get over here I can't remember the names half the time without looking at them so I have to guess. You'll have like Kasrkin, etc., etc., then there is Kasrkin Advanced, etc., and sometimes Karkin stronghold, or whatever. I'm using Kasrkin as an example, there are others besides this but, I think you summed it up. I blew the program through doing something I wasn't supposed to do and have had to load it again. At the time I was getting 8 or more Basilisk, and the Kasrkins even thought they could be produced in their normal numbers did not have access to grenade launchers and Plasma guns. When I tried to straighten this out I blew it. Oh well, live and learn I guess. One is never too old for that.

I was going to PM you WatZ but your box is full. Oh well, this is just as good anyway since there certainly isn't anything private in what we are discussing. I finally figured it out and now have Dark Crusades working pretty well. The only thing I couldnot do was up the ante for the Lemanruss tanks. When I switched numbers from the original ones already in the requirements, etc. the game would run through the movies on startup then go back into windows. Since everything else was doing ok I didn't try to correct this, for fear of messing something up which would require me to reload the game again and, lose all of my previous work. I suppose this might have been what was causing the malfunction before. This seems to occur when modding the leman russ and sentinels. Thanks for all the help you've given me, without which I would never have gotten the game to work right.
