Yeah all the Silent Hill games are pretty weird...the story at times is hard to follow, and I hate the camera angles
But hey you wanna be really scared try out 'The Suffering' and it's sequel 'The Suffering 2: Ties that Bind'...some really heart racing, scary in these ones...probley the best in the genre...

Silent Hill, Resident Evil and The Suffering all have there goods and bads
Silent Hill:[Pros]Story, Setting, Puzzle solving [Cons] Story sometimes hard to follow, more creepy than scary, and control issues.
Resident Evil:[Pros]ACTION!, Weapons, Boss battles [cons] story can be too simple, can get repetitive.
The Suffering:[Pros]Actions effect outcome. [Cons] creaturs are a bit on the cheesy side, bland setting (dark hallway, another dark hallway and another dark hallway)
All in All I loved Playing all 3, but these are only my opinions and if anyone has different opinions "post"

Well what else would you expect? He's escaping prison (Torque I mean)...it's not gonna have nice green, blue and pinks...and the darkness effect gives the game sureal reality, plus the monsters were quite creative...your definetly wrong there. In fact they hired the guy from Aliens and a few other well known horror movies to create all the beasts...Resident Evil and Silent Hill fall short of The Suffering sequels due to horrid control and really weapons...(most anyhow, sometimes its the lack of ammo and running around trying to find a key or something that hampers gameplay)...

You make a good point! but I still choose Silent Hill and Resident Evil over The Suffering. (don't get me wrong. I will play The Suffering 3 if it ever comes)
