I am also having trouble with the mega trainer. If I use the "Complete Wargear" option I will get a CTD after winning the next battle. Some of the IG selection sounds will stop working if I use the instant build option as well. Not sure why this is so. The basic CH trainer worked fine but the mega trainer seems to hate my rig.

Side note: Couldn't CH have mapped the trainer hotkeys to the numpad instead? An earlier trainer used the numpad without interfering with the default keyboard shortcuts(unfortunately, the trainer benefited the AI as well). I don't like losing my frequently used in-game shortcuts (f1~f4=stance, ctrl-5~0, etc). Just a minor quibble.

We went round and round with the key mappings for the trainer. Laptops don't have numpads. There are 16 options to map and several sub-options. The game itself uses almost every key in the game. We wanted to keep the options in some sort of order instead of going all over the keyboard for different options. You can't please everyone with the keymappings so we took a poll and used the ones that most people could agree on.

Creating advanced options such as those in the mega trainer, especially on games that were designed to prohibit these types of functions (like CoH/DC) is especially challenging and sometimes may cause problems on certain configurations. That's part of the reason why we create a basic and then a mega. The basic will always have the most basic cheat functions to help you get past just about any problems you may be having. The mega goes way above and beyond and tries to add game-enhancing features. Manipulating the game into making these features work can cause issues at times. Usually these are rare and only happen under certain circumstances (like using certain options in combination or not turning options off after using them) or with certain software configurations. Most people have no problems at all. It's really no different than any other piece of software. Visit Relic's forums and you'll see tons of people that can't even get the game to run on their computer -- doesn't mean the game is flawed, only something in their configuration doesn't mesh well with it. Same can be said for trainers.

Fair enough. My laptop does have a numpad, but I can't really game on it. Interesting work around. Suppose I'll have to edit my shortcuts then. Orks are too numerous for 4 ctrl-groups!

Perhaps other people are having a similar issue and/or the means to get the option working correctly. Thought I'd put it out there just in case.
