If you have problems here then i doubt you'll finish the game in less then an year!
Talk to the messanger Say LETTER, he'll give it to you. Talk to the guard Say fargrove then daughter stop talking then a goblin should appear follow it and prepare yourself (its an ambush) Go into the sewers and from there you're on your own!
