To enable the console do this, right-click on the game shortcut and choose properties. Then add the " -console" command (without the quotes) where it says "target" , so it will look something like this: "c:\...\Vampire - Bloodlines\vampire.exe" -console if someone still needs this

When i put -console at the end of the target line, it gives me and error saying that "specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct."

that means you didn't have a space between:
you have: "C:\Games\vampire the masquerade - bloodlines\vampire.exe"-console 1
but need to have:"C:\Games\vampire the masquerade - bloodlines\vampire.exe" -console 1
notice the space between vampire.exe" and the -console. THERE IS A SPACE BETWEEN THE " and the - but NOT BETWEEN THE -CONSOLE.
If you are using the version from STEAM, you simply right click on the game in the games list on STEAM and choose properties. Then click the Set Launch Options and add the -console to the box provided.
I'm only replying to the old posts because this question comes up alot!
