I've given the book to Martin and he says talk to Jauffre about spies - the quest has appeared in my journal but I don't get that option when I talk to Jauffre or to anyone else. Can anyone help?

You might have to talk to Martin again about spies and then talk to Jauffre about it if you haven't already.

Thanks, tried that, tried Captain Stefan, checked all the walkthroughs. Even reloaded the previous game and did the caverns again. The quest is in my journal, the green compass point is on Jauffre I've asked him everything several times, I spoken to Martin several times but no option for spies!

Player.SetStage MQ07 31 (this upgrades your journal telling you that you've killed Saveri Faram)

Player.SetStage MQ07 80

i would suggest you try to finish the quest after that and jauffre should tell you to go and talk to Martin. Good Luck, if you need any more help you know where i am.

Thanks that was great - I used MQ07 25 and got the quest from Jauffre - I have even got "spies" when I talk to Captain Stefan - should be OK now. I'm off to the runestone to kill Jearl!
