when you first turn it on, a screen will come up saying that that game is not in the code list, and it will ask you to enter the game details, say yes. the screen then changes, and you put in the name of the game. you then go to the "next" button. when the screen changes, you then have to enter the (M), or master, code. ill use pokemon emerald's as an example:
D8BAE4D9
4864DCE5
A86CDBA5
19BA49B3
A57E2EDE
A5AFF3E4
1C7B3231
B494738C
when the (M) code is entered, the screen changes, and you can then add more cheats. to do this, you just go to the right side of the screen, click on "add". when you do, you get to enter the name of the cheat, example: eon ticket. then, you just add the code for the cheat like you did with the (M) code. if you want to know some of the cheats, go under the "Action Replay, US" or "Cheats Codes and Hints" sections of the game's board. if the game doesn't have things like that, then go to the Action Replay homepage and look to see if the game even has cheats for it. if you don't know where that is, look in your booklet
