how do i subdue the bees? this game is really hard. 🤔

Took me ages to finally force the end of the 3rd murder but once there there rest followed on fairly quickly...

Anyroad, to subdue the bees you can do it the long way, or the short way.
Long way is to get the fermented apples from the apiary, take them to the fruit press, turn it into cider, put it on the bushes where the two goats are, go through the path, take the card in front of the celtic cross, open the cellar doors & back through the lagoon & into the study, & into the billiards room. There's now a dicebox behind Armstrong & Wargrave. Open it in inventory. There's a key.
Take key to locked desk in study . Sherlock Holmes guide to beekeeping & making a lit smoker.

Short way: Take hurricane lamp from woodshed, combine with tobacco from judge's room, combine with garden hose, combine with matches, put in hive. Bees are now snoozing Zzzzzz...

The short way is easier

ok so I have put the cider on the bushes and the path it reveils is to the beach, I can't see a celtic cross, did I put the cider in the wrong place??

Ooops, getting my beaches mixed up - cider on the bushes, go down path & there's fishing net there. Also have a gander about with the telescope on that beach, see if there's anything worth seeing...

You need to go to the lagoon & row out the dinghy to get to the other ruined village where the celtic cross is
