Actually it was made from a publicly available press kit render which GameWallpapers.com also used to make their image.

Then why isn't that FULL sized original here? Why was it cropped?
It was cropped to best fit the various resolutions that it's being presented in. Many of those press kit renders are much longer than they are wide (designed for magazine covers), which as you know, monitors are not. They have to be adjusted and cropped so that they look good in standard monitor resolutions or else you get a lot of nothing or far off views of the character(s).
