In local game, how can I put add bots to my game?

you can't, or not that I know off. It's a set amount of bots.
Post a request for a bot trainer. Maybe that'll help

you just need a patch to have the co mod

I don't think that you can add bots to a local game, only on the single player tab. I like the utility called Bot Changer 2.1 (changes # of bots in single player up to 255 and bot difficulty): Download Link

You can also manually change the amount of bots by going to the Battlefield 2 directory and going to the aiDefaults.ai file in mods/bf2/AI and changing it. It hasn't worked for me, only the Bot Changer. FYI: The bot changer edits a file (not sure if it's new or not) called aiBotChanger.ai in the same directory.
