HINTS & TIPS
Gameplay tips:

To pick up the check and clean up the table in one move, double click the table.

You can create an action queue for Flo by clicking several things in order.

Use the customer types to your advantage. Seniors and Mr. Hot Shot will wait longer in line, so serve the impatient ones first.

Keep an eye on the little heart meter on the tables and on the people in line. If customers get upset, they will leave, costing you a lot of points. Speedy service gives those little hearts a boost as well. The higher the heart meter, the better your tip.

Drinks and snacks keep people happy. Serve them to those who arrived first, so you can afford to let them wait a bit and get a chain going with more customers.

Maximize your chances of a higher score: keep people in line until you can seat all tables at the same time, grab all the orders in a row, then serve all the dishes in a row.

Endless shift hints:

Every time an upgrade becomes available, redeem it right away.

Get the entertainer first. You can keep people in line happy without having to use the podium, thus leaving you all the extra time to sit and serve the customers.

Your next upgrades should be the oven and the running shoes, to speed up service.

After that, invest on the stereo to keep the customers at the tables happy.

Each costumer that leaves costs you a star.

Expert score hints:

Sitting several customers of the same color on the same seat gives you an extra 100 points per customer. If you have a x2 blue seat, place a blue customer on it to get 200 points and to turn it into a x3 once he/she leaves. Color bonuses will never go over x4.

Create chains by doing the same action several times in a row. In higher levels, chains are the only way to meet the required goal.

Flo can carry two objects at a time (and later on, four), so use that to make service faster and to create chains.

Serve as many snacks as you can for extra tips, but sometimes it's best to let the customers get upset just so you can work the podium or serve the meals.

Using the podium doesn't break a chain, but serving drinks or snacks and putting dirty dishes away will.

Customer Types:

As you progress in the game you will have several different types of customers that have different levels of patience, so time your seating accordingly to maximize the chain!

Businesswomen: they tip very well, but have a short temper to wait in line or at the table.

Mr. Hot Shot: very patient in line, very impatient at the table, tips well.

Seniors: elderly men who are a lot more patient in line and at the table, take a long time to eat and don't tip so well.

Young girls: friendly customers, they give good tips and are moderately patient.

College kids: very impatient in line, like to linger at the table, give reasonable tips.

The restaurant critics: VIP customers, they can come alone or in groups. They give you a star if they leave pleased, but will cost you points if they don't get a good impression. A star is an "extra life", which you use when you fail to reach the level goal.

Restaurant upgrades:

As you complete each level your restaurant might gain an upgrade. Here is an explanation of their effects.

Podium: Flo can use it to make the customers waiting in line happier. Just stand there long enough for the heart to grow to its maximum size.

Drink station (tiki, coffee, wine, tea): give your customers a free drink to make them happier. When the drink station is flashing, you can get a drink from it.

Snacks station (bread sticks, crab sticks): when customers request an item from it, you better bring it to them fast.

Stereo: helps keep people at the tables happy. Available only in Endless Shift.

Performer: helps keep people waiting in line happy. Available only in Endless Shift.

Running shoes: they make Flo walk faster. Available only in Endless Shift.

One table for 6, four tables for 2 and two tables for 4. Customers come in red, blue, yellow and green; they are girls and seniors. They will randomly ask for crabsticks while choosing from the menu or while eating. Use only half of the tables for higher color bonuses and keep the line happy.

Level 3-6 (Goal: 7,000 Expert Goal: 9,500)
Two tables for 6, two tables for 2 and two tables for 4. Customers come in red, blue, yellow and green; they are girls, businesswomen and seniors. The restaurant critic comes to visit. Your reward for completion is a new door and walkway.

And just when you thought it was over, there is a bonus level. Flo finds herself magically transformed into a sort of Shiva goddess, floating on a cloud, and is transported to her restaurant Nirvana. She now has four arms, which means she can carry four things at once.

Level 5-6 (Goal: 10,000 Expert Goal: 20,000)

Level 5-8 (Goal: 20,000 Expert Goal: 30,000)
Two tables for 6, two tables for 4, four tables for 2, 8-seat bar. Customers come in red, blue, yellow, purple and green; they are Mr. Hot Shot, girls and businesswomen. Customers basically order and eat instantly after being seated and served, but at least they won't be asking for snacks. High color combos and chains needed to meet the goal.

Level 5-9 (Goal: 20,000 Expert Goal: 30,000)
Two tables for 6, two tables for 4, four tables for 2, 8-seat bar. Customers come in red, blue, yellow, purple and green; they are Mr. Hot Shot, girls, college kids, businesswomen and seniors. There are no color bonuses this level since all chairs are black and stay that way. You need to create large chains to reach the required goal and prevent customers from leaving at all costs. Tricky, since serving snacks breaks chains, so you will need to adjust the customer's timing to your advantage and focus on table service by waves.

Level 5-10 (Goal: 45,000 Expert Goal: 55,000)
Two tables for 6, four tables for 4, four tables for 2, 8-seat bar. Customers come in red, blue, yellow, purple and green; they are Mr. Hot Shot, girls, college kids, businesswomen and seniors. The color bonuses are back. This will be a long shift and people will line up off the screen. Keep seniors and Mr. Hot Shots waiting in line and serve the impatient ones first.

General Hints
Passed the whole game in 2 days What you really need to do in the beginning is just seat all the people in the right colored seats (the bonus points really help!) and serve TWO TABLES AT A TIME. This way you get bonus points for the chaining action. When you get the podium in the next levels, SEAT ONLY TWO TABLES AT A TIME, and while the people are ordering go to the podium to make the others that are waiting happier. When you take the orders, wait for the food to appear and serve it - while the people are eating use that time to go to the podium. GIVE CHECKS TO BOTH OF THE TABLES FIRST, then clear the tables (twice as many points for chaining action). When they\'re gone, seat two more tables and keep repeating the cycle. Remember to seat business women first, they're very impatient. Then the college boys, but also make sure to look at their "hearts" while standing in the line.
When you earn the snacks, sometimes the people at the tables will ask for them while eating (when you're at the podium). Sometimes it's better to sacrifice not serving the people, as it would mean losing the people in the line (not standing long enough at the podium to cheer them up). Sometimes you can also find the time to give the people the drinks, such as the business women for a bigger tip (more points!). What I did is always made sure that the business women were the happiest. After them come the normals, as they also give ok tips, then it's the college boys and the old men. The old men are patient, so you can sit them last. When you get the cool people, make sure to serve them fast or they get really angry. This way you get through all of Flo's 3 restaurants, most of the time earning the expert level. And when you get the four hands... Well seat 4 tables at a time and go to the podium. - Submitted by alex
