Yea, umm...I could schitz a brick at this moment. I love the X-COM series. I havent played this game in years. Bought Apoc off EBAY and low and behold, seems my comp is too much for the damn game. I'm ass-uming my problems are primarily derived from the fact that it's an old DOS reliant game, but my main concern is it doesnt recognize my frickin dvd drive. It retardedly asks for "CD ROM" drive at 460 KBPS and under "located" it syas "ERROR"! On top of that it needs 20 files and 20 buffers but locates 40 files and 0 buffers. Is there a way to get the game to work or do I have to track down an old @ss DOS program or what? Please help, I'm jonsing for some X. Thanks.
Good, bad....I'm the guy with the gun.

You can always try to get a DOS emulator, its how I was able to get some really old games to run on my PC.

Well I was just looking through all the games that I have and own but to answer your problem is do a full install then get a program that is called Dos Box and follow directions and you will have no problem running this awesome game. Hope that i helped.

Isn't the entire X-com series windows 95 based? I don't think it works with DB.

The first three games run on DOS. Steam has them properly configured with DOSBox.
