    doom3 is not scary......
it just startles the player by using cheap tricks such as popping monsters from hidden panels and stuff like that.

yea...u're right Doom 3 is not what i'd call scary. does have some startle qualities about it but that's it. FEAR's a bit scary...some of the time.

I would only go for Resident Evil 4 or 5 if I want something "Scary".

Life is best for those who enjoy it, difficult for those who analyze it and worst for those who criticize it.

Sad to say Resi 4 and 5 lost it's scary touch, and it became a full action game.

But F.E.A.R. 3 has been confirmed and well, I only saw a live action part of the game.

-Just one kiss took away my breathe,-
-And you drew me in with your tenderness,-
-You captivate my soul, I'm enraptured.-
-And you knocked me out, and you locked me up,-
-You stole my heart like a thief in love,-
-You hold me tight in our happy ever after,-
    -I'm captured.-

The only time a video game has scared me to the point I got a fright would be ManHunt. I think I was creeping along this very dark hall way and there was this shadow behind the corner, so I keep walking and this bloodied up man jumps out at me, yells, and starts running toward me with a tomahawk. Besides that, the whole game sort of gave you a tense feeling, recommended playing late at night I say.
