D2 LoD isn't dead and has a loyal following despite coming out in 2001. Similar to Counter-Strike 1.6 and starcraft, I highly doubt games like these will die anytime soon. People are still competing for ladder ranking but non-ladder has more players. If you're new to D2 or want to become better, check out MrLlamaSC on Twitch and Youtube.
