I'm more of a tekken fan... at first I played tekken 3, then four [ I hate what they did to hoarang's hair there ] then came this.. number 5 ... I use Asuka BTW... Combo system ROCKS !!

yeah tekkin rocks, i still like mortal combat but there are better graphics and they are easier to control, amd tekkin doesn't have blood and stuff

Mortal Kombat is directed towards more of the blood/gore wanting consumers, and tekken the more fluid fighting consumers. If we were to compare and pick one, I would probably go with Tekken overall. Mortal Kombat was great back in the day with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd but it fell off its pedestal after the other sequels. When tekken entered the competition of fighting games, it stepped up the standard for fighting games. Ever since mortal combat tried to go 3D it failed in its gameplay mechanics. The fatalities all by itself consists of more explosions then the more gruesomeness seen in first & second parts.

I really can't stand Tekken 5, I just suck at it lol, and Mortal Kombat is my number one choice for a fighting game no doubt, I just like the characters, but I think they ruined it when they picked Teven for the Konquest in Mortal Kombat Armageddon
but MK Armageddon's gameplay really is cool

Tekken has ALWAYS been better than mortal combat.
