you need to go to the temple go intoit and lead him to the wall follow it around stopping at each of those things that is a circle with a circle in it or something like that stop on each one when you get to the right one he'll stop following you and another door will open

Do what ever reliantK said. Also, make sure he doesn't walk into the bottmless pits. I had that problem.
