OK ~~~ to hack ragnarok online alpha is so easy...
1st: you must be running win95/win98/winME, or you CANNOT do this at all.
win2000/NT/XP does not support VxD (virtual device drivers)...
2nd: go to this url: www.gamehacking.com/packeteditors.shtml
3rd: download Winsock Packet Editor 1.3, unzip and read/print out the entire help file before you begin...
*----: there are trainers which have been made from the WPE itself which can be used so you don't
have to spend the time to figure it out...
4th: ragnarok sends it's traffic via winsock #2, so you have to change the default of 1, to #2.
5th: trace packets. this tells you it's working. after turning off the trace. and hitting quit.
you WILL see actual data that was received and sent during that time.
6th: you need to practice this a lot, and do many things, ie: drop things, go on exits, sell stuff,
buy stuff, fight, etc... turning on and off tracing packets is very essential in doing this and
capturing the right stuff...
7th: after you get the hang of that and have a somewhat knowledge of HEX and stuff, you now need to
make some FILTERs... if done right (ie: put 00's in place of FF's or something), each integer
(hex value) will do something different.
8th: you now can try sending packets (edited of course) to the server to see what happens. if you did
it right, you can now duplicate items, walk over exits, warp, etc....
9th: turn on the filter to always do this, and/or create a trainer so it's even easier to do!
