Not sure about the Update request. All of the options seem to be working for me on the steam version. Was it for Epic or Gamepass that it was needing it?

I was curious about this also but was just going to wait, pretty common features get added if they are possible shortly after release.

If you go into the barracks and use the sim pod with the mech active you can bypass the need to take it into a mission. Just load into a simpod mission with the mech active and as soon as the mission starts you can abort the simulation and the mech will have the xp to purchase the omni pods (again make sure you have mega currency on)
