Just an FYI but the EXP cheat completely breaks progression, I would recommend against using it. It sets the EXP so high that the game no longer registers new EXP gain and you can't level up your characters because of it. All of my characters are permanently stuck at level 1/25 now with their current and lifetime EXP frozen at whatever value they were before using the cheat. It sticks after turning the cheat off and the game autosaves after everything you do. So...totally screwed it seems =P
Is it possible to switch it to a value edit option instead? Because it looks like it's permanently busted now with how the cheat works.

This is not true. You have to disable the unlimited xp option. You will still earn xp for your character. I have prestiged my scav girl 5 times already.
Confirming this too, yeah you will see a huge negative value on xp but thats the debt from skill purchase.
Prestige and progression are tied to lifetime xp. 😉
Im not sure how you're doing that then because my lifetime EXP froze after using the cheat. Even with the cheat disabled, my EXP never goes up and I can't prestige. I'll gain 3k EXP from a mission but my current and lifetime stays the same.
My friend also used the cheat and he can't gain EXP either but when deleting the character and starting again we both gain fine. It's definitely cheat related.

What I did was I turned on the xp cheat in the character skill page, purchased what I wanted, then turned off the xp cheat. Hopefully that helps.
