This might actually be due to server issues in general. I saw on the Steam forums that a lot of people are reporting this error.

SM II works just fine for me without using the CH bypass or the .ini bypass method so I am pretty certain it is related to the new patch and not "server issues."

Not sure what you are asking here.

SM II without cheats works just fine (no AVF error). If I try to use the CH bypass or the .ini bypass (cheathappens) it gives the AVG error.

As I said on the previous page Devil will need to find a new work around for the launcher/bypass as well as anything necessary past that to fix the trainer.

No need any updates, I just tested the trainer and everything is still perfectly intact and functional.

I got the same error without the trainer so it's server/ game issue and has nothing to do with the trainer.

Just jumping in concur with Turbo.

I'm experiencing exactly the same thing under the same conditions. With the CH executable, I get the server error. When I use Steam integrity verification, it is finding one bad file and redownloading it.

The only way to get online in the game (and therefore save progress) seems to be to use the game's genuine executable (which causes EAC is run) after the file has been repaired using Steam integrity verification without ever using the CH executable.

From my experimenting, it appears that using the CH executable at any point right now causes a game file to corrupt and creates the server connection error from that moment forward, even when trying to start the game normally.
