What do you mean? How would he know until it's too late and he may have invested hours in and then can't progress?
I've been told to request another option which I can't do because I'm not lifetime plus, but surely a game breaking issue like this would call for a priority from the staff on finding a fix or way around it.
How would I know this problem either? You guys want me to play the game 68 hours and 3 days before I release the trainer? I put clearly in the instructions to turn it back off, and also that it may break scripts. I am sorry for the issues, but we don't have any control or "know in advance" that option X will affect script Y in Mission Z at X part of the game Y hours later, when you are buying item Z for quest A on planet B.
The option will be removed. No there isn't some way for me to reset quests or manipulate the quest system. This doesn't make it better, but know that as trainer makers we DO actually run into "have to play the game over for hours" many many times when the game crashes or we are tinkering or trying things and it compeltely borks our save or crushes the progression of the game. MOST of the time we catch these problems and suffer so YOU don't have to. I am sorry that this happened, and it's just best to remove this powerful option, because (like the force), with great POWER comes GREAT RESPONSIBILITY.
I don't like having too much responsibility when I am playing video games, so let's just remove it and save the world from the DARK SIDE.

Would it be possible to release a standalone option or a game fix option to allow upgrades again? Specifically, the speeder hydro repulser (enhancements) module. The game is softlocked after the quest to get it now, and I am unable to proceed. It shows me as 0/1 after the quest in the upgrades section, and I have no part.
Ironically, this came about because I followed the instructions in the initial release of the option and didn't upgrade the speeder then, but now that option would save me and my game. Would something to fix the softlock of those who are having this issue be possible please?
I have included two saved games that are exactly after the quest, the speeder un-upgraded, and directly outside a speeder upgrade NPC.

Out of curiosity did you use the easy upgrade at all? I didn't and had the same issues with the repulsor not being installed. Wondering if it's an inherent bug in Outlaws itself
So, here is what I have figured out.
In the initial version of the upgrades option, it allowed us to upgrade even without materials. We could upgrade and install even if the interface showed 0/1 and we didn't have the quest.
In the updated version of the free upgrades, it just gave 5000 of each material, which means that we cannot upgrade the repulsor.
The initial one allowed us to install the turret, for example, on the ship, even without the expert. The second version does not allow this. I wonder was changed beyond this, because even downgrading to a lower version of the trainer does not bring back these options. In order to fix this for us, we would need a version that again allows us to upgrade and install without materials, as materials for those things do not exist. Would such a thing be possible? Something that just makes the function return true and allow us to upgrade and install?
We probably are not going to bring that option back as we had PAGES of complaints about it breaking the game at some point or another and we can't play the game for 400 hours going through every possible scenario with Kay to try and pinpoint all of these special points.
I have same weird Problems today, every 30 minutes my game crashes to desktop without a error, yesterday it worked fine..
Is the new patch maybe released?
