I was wondering if it is ok to request titles that are either in early access or coming soon stage? just to get it funded by the time it is more stable.

More specifically I just created a couple of requests for (Geo-Political Simulator 5) by eversim, one as a digital download, and one for steam edition.

Currently the game is in early access, digital download from the game's website with the steam edition coming soon (also the digital download can be converted to steam automatically by clicking a link to get a steam key once the steam version is out).

Is it a bad idea to create the request this early? I have seen titles get a trainer in early access. Please let me know.

    Thanks

It's perfectly fine to request EA and upcoming titles.

Sometimes demos are based on such old development progress that when full game releases we basically have to train a new/different game. And most of the time demos are not really popular.

I think that its better to request the full game instead. And if it turns out to be popular and a demo version is available we consider making a trainer for it. Like we've done in the past already.

Eh.. this game is for a small number of people who like these super data heavy geo games. It's a LOT OF WORK.. I REALLY don't want to make multiple versions of this game... secondly, it's likely to be a time sink with hundreds of updates, each of which all the data offsets are moving around. Just note that it this becomes the case, the title is likely to be put ON HOLD pretty quick.

Note we didn't even have funded requests for GPS4 and GPS3 had a whopping 53 downloads..

Probably not going to get funded or get our attention because it's just not popular and on top of that the incredible time sink this game it.

Thanks Cal for setting expectations. I won't get my hopes up.
It is a full redesign with an economic company sim part that is bigger than the whole existing game but yes it will still and probably always be very niche. The developer sell their own cheat module so it is possible they even make it difficult to train on purpose (lots of auto recalculating values).

    Cheers
