The credit editor is all you really need, and it works. once you get the market enabled you can buy everything else. Slag option was amazing but just upgrade your drones to cargo type and it doesn't matter.
Yeah thats eems to be the only thing I use. And only just once. once you have money you can buy research points, the research cheat is a a pain but I made a macro to speed up the process. I dont even use the slag option anymore since you need it for bricks.
For some reason I couldn't get the research edit to work even with the additional explanation... but that is alone my problem, the trainer itself works.
I only used the power & game speed options and the game became to my surprise rather easy.
Thanks for the trainer.
OK.. so here's what worked for me 100% for setting training. Explanation first, example later
A. Ignore the colors in the editor. Which value corresponds to which color changes depending on what you are researching
B. Start ONLY one research, cancel any others you have going
C. Look at the item and write down how much of each research type it needs.
D. Go to the editor and for each research that is required the counters should be increasing
E. Set EVERY counter that's increasing and not ?? to the lowest of the values recorded in step C.
F. One of the counters will STOP increasing. You will no longer edit THAT counter.
G. Set ALL the counters that are still updating to the NEXT lowest research required value just as you did in E
H. Again, one of the counters will stop increasing
I. Set the LAST counter (the only one still updating) to the last remaining required research value (will be the highest required)
withing a few seconds the research will complete and the counters will revert back to ??
Example 1: Required research 500, 800
The three counters on the editor page will initialize from ?? and the FIRST TWO will start to have numbers in them. There's no real way to tell which is what research color.
Enter 500 and 500 for the two values then observe what happens
One of the two counters will STOP incrementing at 500 but the other value will continue increasing. Now, enter 800 for the value of the one that still increased after being set to 500 and within a few seconds the research will complete.
Example 2: Required research 500, 800, 1200
The three counters on the editor page will initialize from ?? and all three will start to have numbers in them. There's no real way to tell which is what research color.
Enter 500 for all three values then observe what happens
One of the three counters will STOP incrementing at 500 but the other two values will continue increasing. Now, enter 800 for the value of the other two that were still increasing then observe.
At this point, two of the counters (500 and 800) will no longer be increasing, but the third counter will still increment. Set the last counter that's still increasing to 1200
Within a few seconds the research will complete
CAVEATS:
Sometimes you won't be generating a particular color of research. The value in the editor will change from ?? to 0 but not increase. To determine which color in the editor matches what research, you need to set each value one at a time in the editor and then look at the progress status of the research to see which bar jumps. So, in the last example where the required research was 500, 800, 1200 instead of setting all three to 500 in the first step, set only ONE of the three editor values to 500 then go observe the status of the research. If you hit the one that needed 500, then that status bar will have shot to 100%. If the field you changed was the 800 or 1200 required, then the status won't be at 100% but it will have taken such a significant jump that you'll be able to know which color you edited.
By process of eliminiation, with just 2 tests done this way you can determine the order that the editor has matched the required research for the item and then you can just set all three values to the required amount
NOTE: I've seen research FAIL to complete even with the value set to maximum. This seems to happen in situations where you aren't actively generating the color required. If this happens, simply edit one of the values that WAS increasing to the maximum less 10 points and within a few seconds the natural generation of research will cause it to max out and complete on its own
