I am putting the launcher in the game directory. The bin file, like the instructions say. After I reverify the game files, of course. I'm following the written direction and the demonstration video. It beeps when I launch it. I have everything closed and nothing is running other than the game. When I get to the ship is where I'm having issue. The trainer says "game found." But I still get the error. I'm sorry. I'm not meaning to be difficult.

Delete the bin folder and then reverify the game files, once that is done start again on the instructions

Try this.. run the game normally through steam. Leave Aurora closed.
Wait until at ship and moving around on ship.
THEN run launcher, THEN run Aurora and activate.

See if this helps.

Sadly, this didn't work. It still gives the same error. Thank you, though, for the suggestion. I'll continue to work with it on my end in hopes of getting it working.

# JD's STEP BY STEP GUIDE!
Got an Error with Helldivers 2 Please follow these Steps to make sure your doing ALL you can get to around your error.

1 - Delete the ..\Bin folder from your HD2 Game Directory - Verify the Files in Steam after deleting.
2 - Check to make sure you have included the "Aurora" Folder into your "Security Exclusion List" with your "Security Software" (**DO NOT DISABLE YOUR SECURITY**) Example of this setting: Link
3 - Launch the game and play it with out Aurora running in the background, Making sure to walk around the ship a little and exit the game via the Esc Menu.
4 - (Now you can Launch Aurora) - Launch Aurora in Admin Mode
(to do this please Right Mouse Click on the Icon and select run as Admin)
5 - Access the Trainer for HD2 - Download the RAR file containing the HD2Launcher.exe file
6 - Extract the File from the RAR file and inject it into the ..\BIN folder for HD2 Directory
7 - Make sure you have the **Aurora App and Trainer CLOSED** before attempting to Launch the CHLauncher file.
8 - Run the "Helldivers2Launcher.exe" and proceed to Wait for the 3 Beeps as previously posted in this help guide to indicate successful Attachment to the game. (Expect a 60 second delay)
> 3 beeps ....
> High pitch - Launcher Check
> Mid Pitch - Aurora Check
> then Low Pitch if it hooked the game correctly
9 - Activate the Trainer in game when your on the ship.
- Open the Debug Log and share the output if your reporting an error with the trainer.
- **Activate** Functions **ONLY** when your in the Mission.
- **Disable ALL** active functions before boarding the _Extraction shuttle_.

10 - if Aurora has crashed during these steps or the game Crashes to desktop you have incorrectly skipped a step or failed to follow these steps. If your sure you followed these steps to the letter, reboot your computer and try 1 - 9 again.

Hello, like the other poster I'm having the same issue. I tried all steps listed, still nothing. I uninstalled/reinstalled all files (i.e. game files via steam) in the order listed. Restarted my pc and still nothing. Not a pro but I have coding experience so understand how the process works.

The trainer had been working fine post (Escalation of Freedom) game update, then I saw that three days ago the trainer was updated again. Since then the HD2 trainer hasn't been activating. It recognizes the game but then freezes when trying to activate. In the past few days the only change was the trainer being updated. HD2 hasn't been updated since EOF, verifiable by the in-game version number.

This is my first experience with CheatHappens and was debating the lifetime membership. I only started using this site because my save files and were lost and I didn't feel like starting from scratch. But this feels unreliable. Being a paid membership site and now entering the 4th day with no update fixing the issue, Stinks but I have to cancel my membership till a more dependable/reliable trainer has been created. However, I'll keep trying till my membership runs out--fingers crossed.

Did you exclude the app and file in your security software?
So help me if you say you have your security software Disabled!

But, what I have found after helping the larger number of folks on the Discord having issues with the trainer.

1. They didn't exclude the Aurora and HD2 Launcher in their Security software
2. They had Aurora setup on their Desktop or {username} Directory Folders while on windows 11
- (OneDrive Cloud based Security effects the operations and can't be excluded)
So folks have to install Aurora in to a Custom folder under C:\My Trainers and exclude that folder to make it work.

3. Some try and launch the game through Aurora or steam instead of using the Custom Launcher .exe provided (Always use the Custom Launcher any time your planning to use the trainer)
4. Errors found through Debug Log help us figure out what is likely the issue.
5. Error windows from the Developer application means there is something wrong with the game files and not the trainer.

So in long short - These are the most common issues folks have been having and I have devised a LONG list of FAQ facts on the Discord for work-arounds and fixes. If all else fails, let us know your setup. Often times simple things are overlooked.

I just tested the trainer again and its working fine. Be sure to follow Jacks suggestions
