I'm playing the EA version from Steam. I don't see any signs of this game being multi-player. I don't understand why the Trainer for this game is flag as "RETIRE" due to it being a multi-player game?

Titles are retired for multiple reasons, not just because they may be multiplayer. This game is 4 years old. Likely it is written in a game scripting language that makes creating a trainer difficult. It could also be that there was never enough interest in the game to fund the trainer in the allotted timeframe.
