I was thinking of sharing on the Steam forums that the trainer for the demo was made keeping in mind that I learned on the Gamespot forums about CheatHappens. The thing is though would Valve react negatively to such a post?

would that be against the ToS of the steam forums? would the dev keep it?

Technically, it could be construed as "advertising" by a bad faith person. Realistically, it would very much depend on how the audience (eg the dev of the game like nook pointed out) reacts to it. Steam forum very much depends on reports given the gargantuan nature of it. So if no one complains, it should be ok. I have seen (and even mentioned) CH mentioned in various steam game forums over the years and they were mostly ok. A couple of threads were eventually locked/deleted not because of mentioning CH per se but due to the discussion devolving into a slug fest between cheaters (single-player) and those who are against all forms of cheating.

Besides, I saw competing cheat tools being mentioned multiple times as well so if those fly, I don't see why CH would be the exception.

I would advise against it because you going to get some people just telling you bad for using CH and so on there are always some like that even thought themselves do.

beside if you google cheat for game Ch is in the top 5.
